Tennis club membership

 
Your tennis club membership entitles you to many benefits. Some of these are:

  • Access to a wide range of tennis activities
  • Access to all court facilities
  • Access to competitive tennis
  • Ability to invite visitors to play with you
  • Entry to club ballot for Wimbledon tickets 
  • Access to themed days, social events and                 tournaments
  • Access to the clubhouse facilities, 

     including the bar

Types of membership

Information for new members

Playing members are divided into the following categories:


Senior - adults aged 31 or over

 

Senior - Under 30 – adults aged 18 - 30


Joint Senior -  adult couples living at the same address and both aged 18 or over


Family - adults qualifying for Joint membership plus children qualifying for Junior membership all living at the same address


Student - Adults aged 18-25 who are pursuing a course of full-time study


Junior (11 – 17) – children aged 11 to 17


Junior (5 – 10) – children below the age of 11 whose parent or guardian is a social or playing member

 

Social members - adults aged 18 or over who have access to the clubhouse facilities but have no rights to use the tennis courts


Ages shall be taken as on 1st September preceding the due subscription date


Temporary members – arranged on an ad hoc basis

Keys 

You can purchase a key to the car park gates and the courts from the bar at £4. You can also buy a key to the clubhouse for £4. The keys can be bought whenever the bar is open or when a club official is around.

Teams 

We have five ladies' and three men's teams competing in the leagues this summer. Ladies' practice takes place on a Tuesday evenings and Men's on Thursday evenings, both starting at 6.30 p.m. If you are unable to attend the practices, please call the captains to discuss options.

Visitors 

You can bring visitors to play at the club, but no more than three times in any year, and as long as you sign the visitors book and pay the visitors fee - £4 for adult and £2 for junior visiting at any time.  

Juniors 

We have junior teams representing the club in the Junior North East Cheshire Lawn Tennis League. Saturday mornings are organised play sessions, which are free to members of the club. Mini-tennis players can attend from 10 - 11 a.m. and older juniors from 11 - 12.00 p.m. These sessions can be used as a taster session for any of your friends who may be interested in taking up tennis.
