Many thanks to all those who helped on Saturday. A lot of work was done by the 14 or so volunteers followed by a very enjoyable tournament.
We are having a cleanup day on Saturday 19 September to try and get the grounds in good order for the winter. It starts at 10.30am and then at 1.00pm we have a ‘bring and share’ lunch. In the afternoon we are having an American Tournament, so it’s not all work!
There is a sign up sheet in the clubhouse. It would help if you could bring a few gardening tools. Look forward to seeing you.

The weather was warm and sunny as 5 teams gather at the Tytherington Golf Club to battle for the Ken Lewis Trophy. The format was four players per team taking the best two stableford scores per hole. The Loco team were the first off the tee, unfortunately missing one player (who caught them up at the tenth). They were followed by Hits and Misses, Yellow Team, Tiger Cubs and finally Bunkers Galore Nearest the pin on the 13th went to our celebrity guest Ken Nicol playing with the Loco team while the longest drive on the 9th went to Marc Furness of Tiger Cubs. Star points for the day went to Kath McKellar (Tiger Cubs) with a net albatross on the par three 5th scoring 5 points! However, it was Hits and Misses who stole the day with a stunning first 8 holes from Jane Ambler. There followed an evening of musical entertainment with Ken Nicol of Steeleye Dan fame playing to a packed clubhouse. Many thanks to all the sponsors and to Ken Nicol for playing for free. Proceeds of the event went to East Cheshire Hospice.
