The club provides seven courts and two mini tennis courts making it one of the larger clubs in the area. With court facilities like these you'll never have to wait long to get on court and start knocking up! Artificial Grass Courts There are 6 artificial grass courts at the club, four of which were resurfaced in 2008. These newer courts grip the ball more and allow for more spin and for a slightly slower game, if such a thing can be had on grass! We have two older artificial grass courts which are a lot smoother meaning the ball skids through at an incredible speed. For a fast, quick game use these courts and you won't be disappointed. Acrylic Court There is one acrylic court (hard court) at the club. Playing on this surface demands more stamina as the bounce is slow making it harder to get passing shots. A great court for developing your rallies on. Floodlights Three of the artificial grass courts are floodlit which can be used up until 10.00pm each evening. During winter these are a life saver for the dedicated tennis players at our club. To use the floodlights costs £2.00 for the evening. Mini Tennis Courts Mini tennis is the game of tennis modified for young players, in which all the tactics of the real game can be learned and used. It uses smaller rackets and smaller courts and special balls. And its great fun to! |
